Develop your presence and be successful
Hey Guys--
It's so predictable, it's depressing.
Yet again I watched the Dallas Cowboys play hard, play with energy, play with intensity and yet again lose to a team they should have beaten.

Mistakes, penalties, lack of focus in the moment--all killers in a sport where games are decided by three or four plays.
Game after game they repeat this formula, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory with sad predictability. Why?
The easy answer is "coaching" and yes, that has a lot to do with it. But behind that answer is the real one--"presence," or lack thereof.
If you look at the most successful teams, if you look at the best military units, their leaders all have something called command presence, an unconscious, ever present feeling that spurs men to excellence.
It's there even when the leader is not present, and it's both unsettling and comforting at the same time. Unsettling because you feel like you're always being watched, comforting because you know this presence will do everything in its power to give you victory.
The Dallas Cowboys lack presence in their coaching staff. And until they get it, they will lose. Teams that have presence, teams like the Steelers, Redskins, Patriots, Jets, and Dolphins will have a chance to win every game, even with inferior talent.
Presence is not just limited to team sports and military units, however. A man who develops his presence will also succeed in business, in his career and with women. Women crave a man with presence because they feel comforted and secure, even when he isn't there.
While some men have natural presence, every man can develop it to some degree. And in this day and age of the girlie man, even a small presence stands about because most men have none.
You don't have to be George Patton or Bill Parcells to succeed--you're probably not going to command an army or coach a pro football team. But if you want to succeed, developing your presence to a small degree will give you a huge advantage over other, lesser men who choose not to do so.
On with the fun,
