Hi guys, I am really, REALLY new to this being alone and dating thing. Okay, I'll call it looking, not dating yet. To the question: there's a man I've known for three years that is a really nice guy, he's widowed. We're in the same bike club and we ride around together. He knows there's been problems with my husband and I'm now separated. How do I let him know I'd maybe like to see him as more than a biking partner?

I know this is posted in the "ask the guys" folder, but I'm answering anyway. It's okay today to take that initial step and suggest going out. It sounds like you are shy  , or maybe lack confidence. If so, since you are in the same club, why not wait for a non-riding event to come up, then suggest going together. He might be shy to, or not know how to approach you. Keep being a friend.
