I don't have a problem with stringless relationships. I've kind of been having a string of them myself, though only one at a time, thank you. (pun intended) For me, right now, I don't want a steady relationship. Also stringless never stays stringless, someone usually wants more.
To answer Belle's question, I think it is usually the woman who develops feelings of wanting more out of the relationship, before the man. But not always! And not always because of sex, either, although I think it's men's nature to want sex pretty much continually. It's built in them to impregnate the world, thereby guaranteeing the perpetuation of the species. Women on the other hand, get damn sick of child birth. Aside from that, men will sometimes start taking the woman for granted, showing up for supper, staying all evening and all but moving in. They're the ones looking for mama's apron strings as well as the string underwear.
