The past predicts the future
Hey Guys--
Some things are just too easy to predict.
Last year Jay Cutler, quarterback of the Chicago Bears led the league in interceptions. To solve this problem, what do the Bears do?

They go out and get Mike Martz who has an offensive system guaranteed to lead the league in sacks and interceptions. It's also darn near guaranteed to get his qb carried off on a stretcher.
Now, this is the same Mike Martz who was run off by Mike Singletary, former Chicago Bears great and current 49ers coach who knew for a fact that he could never win with Mike Martz' offensive system.
Yet, Chicago, in an act of supreme desperation hired Martz to work his offensive magic, and so far he's done just that.
Last night, Jay Cutler was sacked 9--yes 9--times in one half of football, ending up with a concussion, a concussion that will sadly be the first of many if Martz is allowed to remain in Chicago.
Why did the Bears hire Martz? Because in spite of all evidence to the contrary, they wanted to believe someway, somehow this time would be different. But, Martz is up to his old tricks, doing the same old things and getting the same old results.
The desire to set aside disturbing evidence to believe in false promises runs deep, and it has ruined many a man, especially when it comes to women.
Faced with evidence to the contrary, many guys return to toxic relationships, somehow believing "this time it will be different," only to have it blow up once again.
As hard as it is to do, you have to sit down and closely examine a situation you desperately want to believe in that has a history of failure. Do not be tempted by promises that things will change, or lessons will be learned.
The past does predict the future, and it is usually right in front of you to see. Don't ignore it... make the hard call, and just say no to Fool's Gold.
On with the fun,
