The rule is do no harm.

Hey Guys--

One of the funniest quotes I've ever seen is this one, by Cher,
"Many women get all excited over nothing... then marry him."

How true, how true. While men face a substantial amount of social
programming, it pales in comparison to what women face.  The
pressure in this country to get married at any cost is
unimaginable, and many women react out of reflex.

There is an interesting show on the Investigation Discovery Channel
right called Very Bad Men, and it's all about women who married men
who were, ah, less than truthful.

Now, when you watch the show, you almost shake your head in
disbelief as the women tell their stories--it's obvious to the
outside observer that these guys are all as full of shit as a
Christmas turkey.

So why then, don't the women pick up on this?

The answer is simple:  these men tell the women exactly what they
want to hear in a way that triggers all the social programming,
especially the program that to be validated as a woman, she must
have a ring from a man.

This program in women is very strong, and shuts off all critical
thought.  As time passes, the tales spun by these very bad men grow
taller and wilder, yet the women continue to believe them in the
moment, caught up in the program, not wanting to acknowledge the
devastating alternative.

Eventually it all collapses, and love immediately turns to hate,
then the women see what they should have seen in the first place.

Why should you pay attention to this?  Because you want to be
careful when you meet a woman not to activate these social
programs, unless you really mean to follow through. A measure of
caution is always appropriate in attraction, and there's no reason
to say things you don't really mean.

When it comes to attraction, first do no harm--follow that rule, and
you won't be a very bad man... just a bad boy or a cool guy, and
there's a hell of a difference there.

On with the fun,
