Be a real man and show grace under pressure.

Hey Guys--

It's a phrase that, sadly, has entered the American lexicon:  "I'm
freaking out."  It's usually uttered when someone is overwhelmed
with emotion, refusing to act in the moment, and wants an excuse
for doing so.

Sadly, many people actually accept this as an excuse:  "oh, it's
ok, he was freaking out but he's better now."  Give me a break.

**********************

John Wayne never freaked out.

Navy SEALs never freak out.

Clint Eastwood never freaked out.

Roger Staubach never freaked out.

And none of them ever tolerated anyone who did.  In fact, when
someone "freaked out" they usually slapped them in the face to jolt
them back to reality.

"Freaking out" used to be viewed as a sign of weakness, and while
it is an accepted and adored excuse by the girlie men in the media,
it is still viewed as a sign of weakness by women interested in men.

Why do people "freak out?"  Because they have not developed the
skills to deal with the situation in the moment.  They default to
what they know, which is confusion.

When something goes wrong, you need clarity.  That means the first
thing you should do is focus, gather as much information as fast as
you can, then act.  Nothing, and I mean nothing good comes from
"freaking out."

But something good CAN come from acting--there's time to be
emotional after the situation has calmed down.

Let the girlie men in the media freak out when someone says
something mean about them or doesn't praise them enough.  They're
losers and they know it.
Be a real man and show grace under pressure--and get all the freaks
out of your life.
