Time to PANIC? PDF Print E-mail

Realize that not everything goes well at all times

Hey Guys--

Week three is in the books, and the girlie men in the sports media
are gleefully proclaiming some teams should "push the panic button."

Time to panic, they say... but what the hell does that mean?

Do you HATE rejection by women?  Imagine a life of no heartbreak or
misery, only fun and joy with the women YOU choose to have in your
life on your terms.  For a whole new approach to dating, women, and

Quite frankly, I have no idea.  Does it mean running around like a
chicken with its head cut off hollering and screaming?  Does it
mean curling up into a little ball and crying uncontrollably?

Does it mean quitting?   I have no idea what "panic" means, or what
it accomplishes.

In 1998 ( I believe) Bill Parcells Jets were one of the favorites
to win the Superbowl.  Then, on the first game of the season, Vinny
Testaverde tears his Achilles tendon, and is done for the season.
There are also other devastating injuries.

Things get bad, and they start 1-7.  Does Bill Parcells "panic?"
Please.  He calmly analyzes the situation (not without some
outbursts, but he doesn't lose his cool), selects Ray Lucas as the
starting QB, designs an offense around him, and they wind up going
8-8, almost making the playoffs.

What would panic have done?  Made them go 1-15?  Hell, they play
again next year, and panic has no place when it comes to success.

Panic has no place in your life.  No matter how much you do it, the
situation is still there when you're finished.  Not going to make
it better, but it might make it worse.

The thing to do is to realize that things in life are going to go
wrong at times.  Only calm, deliberate action will rectify the
situation, and the situation may not turn out to be as bad as it
first appears.

So let the losers panic when the inevitable happens.  Get that word
out of your vocabulary, and let other, lesser men wonder why you
never, ever panic when the world appears to be falling down around
you.

On with the fun,
