They hate to have their time wasted, and they would never, ever
kill it. Instead, they seek to prolong it, wringing as much life
as they can out of every second.
They also seek to control their time. A man who is in control of
his time is in control of his life, and in control over his
outcomes.
If you want to live a life you choose instead of one chosen for
you, you have to wrest control of your time away from others. You
cannot let them use it to prolong theirs at the expense of yours.
This is something you should be militant about, immediately
removing time wasters and time vampires from your life, and letting
only those who respect your time in.
If you do that, you will make the most of the time you have been
given. If not, you'll turn around and that time will be up.
Your time really is the only thing in your life that's limited, and
it's the capital you use to get the results you want. Use it
wisely, and guard it jealously.
No, you're not going to get out of life alive. But when they clank
the lid on your coffin, everyone you know can stand around, drink a
toast, and proclaim that during your life, a good time was had by
all.
