Hey Guys,

If you're a long time reader of my daily episodes, you know I am a
die hard NFL fan.  I love the NFL, and it gets better every single
year.

I'm not a baseball guy, not really a basketball guy, can't get into
hockey, don't care much for college football and I consider soccer
unmentionable.  For me, it's the NFL.

What if everything you ever thought you knew about dating and
relationships was just plain wrong?  Would you keep doing the same
things and getting the same results?  Or would you try something
new and radically different?  To stop dating, and start living, go to

I'm not the only one.  Sports in the US, the NFL in particular, has
a huge impact on the national mood.  If, for example, you live in
Detroit or Buffalo, NY you are positively giddy.

Both the Lions and Bills are 3-0, with a real shot at the playoffs,
and a chance of being good for a long time.  The denizens of both
those cities are jubilant, especially after suffering miserably for
many, may years.

But if you go to Philadelphia where the over-hyped, overblown,
media loved dream team is coming apart at the seams (as I predicted
it would, based on lack of talent at almost every position), they
are suicidal.  The mood is dark, and people are edgy and irritable.

If you go to Dallas, it's the same old story.  The media is
reporting how wretched the Cowboys are, how the Iggles are way
better than they are, and how Jerry Jones has wrecked the team.
Same story they wrote when the 1992 season started, the season that
started their run of 3 Superbowls in four years.

Some people want to say it's just a game, but it's not.  Sports are
a way to vicariously win and lose, to experience the collective
highs and lows you can't get anywhere else.  Despite the recent
entitlement mentality (fostered by the government), people still
love to win and hate to lose.

The men I know who are truly successful with women love sports.

They experience the highs and the lows like other men, feel great
when their team wins, feel morose when they lose.

Women like men who care about winning and hate losing.  Men who
aren't passionate about a sport are looked at suspiciously,
although it's not a pre-requisite for attraction.

So, when the girlie men in the media (who are ok with losing) say,
"it's only a game," laugh in their miserable loser faces.  Yes, it
IS a game...a very, very important one.

And the Cowboys better beat the Lions this week...
