Behavioral justification is not being self righteous

Hey Guys,

If you can believe it, I get a lot of interesting correspondence.
A few days ago, a guy sent me an email saying, essentially, "can
you believe this?"

According to him, he was on a dating site and got an email from a
woman saying she liked his profile, and thought he was attractive.
The email also said to read hers.

What if everything you ever thought you knew about dating and
relationships was just plain wrong?  Would you keep doing the same
things and getting the same results?  Or would you try something
new and radically different?  To stop dating, and start living, go to

To sum up, she was attached, but looking for a naughty, steamy
affair with a guy in a similar situation.  Then she closed her
profile by saying, "I'm a classy lady, not a slut, so no players."

He was, he said, confused.  How was she classy and how was she not
a slut?

To get to the answer, you have to think from a woman's point of
view.  She wants to misbehave, but is deathly afraid of being
labeled a slut by others, so she has to somehow justify that she is
not to overcome a lifetime of social programming.

Now, if you asked ten women to look at what she said objectively,
not one would say she was classy.  And all would say, "yep, if she
cheats on her partner, solicits random sex online, and encourages
others in her situation to do the same, then she's a slut."

The thing to understand is this:  women are under tremendous social
pressure to conform to a societal definition of how a woman should
behave.  That definition is at odds with reality, yet is so
powerful it impacts how women make decisions about men.  There's
what they really want to do, and what they are afraid to get caught
doing.

Now, I am not making any judgments one way or another about this
woman's behavior--she's an adult, responsible for the consequences
of her actions.  Her business, not mine.  But it is the perfect
illustration of the conflict women face in modern society.

You have to recognize this is there in every woman, even in single
women who are not interested in a relationship at this time.  They
don't want to be labeled, and live in fear of it.

What you need to do is make it OK for her to express her naughty
side in your presence, while making her feel "classy" for it, and
not "slutty."  You have to resolve this conflict for her, else it
will come up to bite you.

Yah, it may be a crappy world that forces women into this inner
conflict, but it's not going to change.  I don't make the rules, I
just report them.

EliteMate Testimonial

EliteMate is something different that I have been part of and I am glad I received an email inviting me to join. The best thing about this site is that we get to meet new people and even find someone for me or anyone else. I have enjoyed every second as a member of EliteMate and it's really cool.
