New gimmicks come and go, but the fundamentals always work. The
run and shoot died a miserable death, the wildcat became the
mildcat, and spread 'em out, pass happy offenses get the
quarterbacks killed.
On occasion you get a transcendent player (Joe Montana, Aaron
Rodgers, Tom Brady) that can violate the fundamentals and win some
games, but these players win their championships by getting back to
the fundamentals.
Yesterday in the NFL the teams that got back to running the ball
and playing defense won (Bills, Vikings, Chargers, Patriots) and
teams that lost (Giants, Eagles) tried to throw it all over the
field. Fundamentals always reset in the long term.
That's why whenever someone comes along with a new attraction
gimmick I shake my head and laugh--ain't gonna work.
Dressing up like a fruit loop may get you attention, reciting
memorized lines may keep you from having nothing to say, and being
rude to a woman may keep you from being viewed as a nice guy, but
they never really lead to attraction.
Attraction is, in the end, a simple, predictable thing. If you're
a man who takes the lead, has a strong sense of personal authority,
is naughty, funny, playful, and patient, you will attract many
women.
Not only that, you'll attract women without doing all the gimmicky
stuff. You can dress nicely without wearing a fuzzy hat, you can
make women laugh without being rude, and you can say whatever comes
to your mind, all while being who you really are.
So, forget about the gimmicks and the shiny objects. Focus on the
fundamentals, and stick to them. In the end, you may not talk to
as many women as guys who are into gimmicks, but that's because
you'll be spending time with women who are actually attracted to
you...and that's really what it's all about.
