But what makes the cool guy cool?
There are several things. First off is his attitude. He's always
calm and collected, and wherever he is, that's the place to be.
Secondly, he doesn't care what others think about him, but neither
is he rude or mean spirited to them. He politely ignores what they
have to say, and goes his own way.
Thirdly, and this is very important, he is the arbiter of what's
"cool" and what "sucks." If he doesn't like something, it's not
cool. If he does, it is. He proclaims this with an understated
air of authority, and those around him simply accept it.
You become the cool guy by adopting these attitudes and behavior,
and simply declaring yourself to be that guy.
Why does this work?
Here's why: most people are walking around with their umbilical
cord in their hand looking for a place to plug it in. They want to
hang out with the cool guy instead of being one.
So be that guy for them. Other men will want to hang out with you,
and other women will. No matter how old you are, or they are,
women still want to associate with the guy who is cool.
After all, what woman would want to associate with a guy who is
uncool or who sucks? None that I know of.
Luckily, being the cool guy is a simple matter of self
proclamation, attitude, and behavior. So proclaim yourself cool
and go from there. To not do that would totally suck!
