Is it possible to be super cool and own a haven of oral bliss? Well owner of The Shady Lady restaurant in Astoria, Chris Prilock makes it seem effortless. As soon as you glide into this establishment, the laid back yet vibrant ambiance hypnotizes you. After one of their delicious cocktails, you almost feel like you're having a Cheers moment where 'everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came'.  Then you go in for the kill:

We started with the delectable lobster tacos, exquisite roasted beets, savory shrimp and grits, finger-licking Thai chili glazed wings. It does not end there. The feast continued with steak frites, baked clams, the impeccable duck confit empanadas, Reuben rolls, succulent pork belly taquitos, scrumptious pulled lamb sliders and the divine seared cod. They also had the audacity to serve two of the most decadent mac & cheese dishes ever: Carbonara, beautifully made with smoked bacon, prosciutto cotto, fontina and Shrooms, created with heavenly wild mushrooms and sinfully intoxicating white truffle. My personal favorites though was a tie between the amazingly titillating peach onion naan made with roasted bone marrow and the most mouth watering ‘make you want to slap-yo-momma’ biscuits with gravy.

And for the finale, dessert: chocolate praline bites over crème anglaise, chocolate soufflé with vanilla bean ice cream (unanimously our table’s favorite) and cheesecake with strawberries and balsamic, black pepper reduction. The whole meal was comparable to a screaming orgasm, oohing and aahing on every bite.

The mass appeal does not end there. The Shady Hour, the 2^nd slot of their speakeasy-like happy hour from 11pm-2am daily, offers some of the most refreshingly creative, stimulating embouchement of cocktails for ONLY $5. That alone will make this the most exclusive, a la mode spot in Queens.

If food is love then the Shady Lady is one irresistible little bitch.
