over-analyzing relationships

Hey everybody,
Do you think women over-analyze relationships? More so than men?

My opinion, in my own relationships and in watching others, is that this is true. If I think something is going wrong, I'll turn it over in my head a thousand times, want to talk about it, fix it, return things to what I think it should be.

Guys, on the other hand, seem to roll with the punches a bit better. Or maybe they don't see trouble brewing on the horizon. When they do, they might analyze it, but rarely want to talk about it.

Maybe this should have been in 'Ask the guys'.

Any opinions?

Oh, for sure. I had this one girl friend, she should have been a shrink. She just analyzed everything right to death. If you thought everything in your life was fine, by the time you finished your coffee you were doubting yourself, your motives, your partner and his motives and your parents. Maybe even his parents. AND she was believable. Usually, I couldn't be bothered but I do try to analyze certain situations.

I think if one person in a relationship is going to over-analyze, more than likely it will be the woman. That's not to say all women do this, but they are more likely to than men. Maybe it's something genetic in women. Just like women tend to be more caring and nurturing then men.
