I thought this would be a good place to put recipes for guys to learn how to cook with so here is a simple recipe that any man should be able to cook.
1 cup chopped onion (about 1 large) 1 cup water 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 2 teaspoons chopped fresh or 3/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves 1 teaspoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 bay leaf
Heat all ingredients except chicken and spaghetti to boiling in 10-inch skillet; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in chicken. Cover and simmer 30 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Place spaghetti in 1 quart sauce pan of boiling water. Do not overcooked spaghetti. Make sure spaghetti is done test by pinching or taking a bite of it. It should be slightly firm. If it is mushy it is overdone. Remove bay leaf. Serve sauce over spaghetti.

Oven Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Here's a real easy one and it's super yummy.
Wash and cut off any unappetizing pieces from yam or sweet potato. I leave the skin on, lots of good healthy vitamins in the skin. Cut into chunks into a bowl, add a little olive or corn oil, whatever you like to use and some dried herbs and spices. This is where you get to be creative. One time I'll use garlic and onion salt, quantity depending on the number of potatoes, another time I'll use thyme and marjoram. I'll also use pre-combined spices, such as combinations made for bread-dipping. Your choice here. Spread them out on a cookie sheet, pizza pan or griddle, pop them into the oven at 350 degrees for half an hour or so. Yummy!

I make this when I get home from work and am just too tired to put much effort into supper. Serve with instant mashed potatoes (another super easy item) or real potatoes, or buns, or toast. I sometimes will grate a little cheese on top and wait for it to melt a bit.
Super Easy Chili Con Carne Recipe
1 pound (or more) hamburger (500 g) 1 medium onion chopped or chunked) fry up together with all-purpose seasoning to taste (sprinkled on like salt) 1 (28 oz) whole or diced tomatoes (not crushed) 1 (28 oz) canned beans (or 2 - 14 oz) 1/4 tsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. cayenne powder 1/4 tsp. black pepper and more all-purpose seasoning to taste. You can add more seasonings if it isn't strong enough.
