Give your date a gift card? Really? I'm not sold on this idea at all. It might be a nice idea for your spouse, but when you're dating it just seems like kind of odd.

MarleyMan you are a dream! You are right, fresh flowers are almost always welcome. An exception might be a lady with allergies. She might not appreciate it, but the rest of us.. bring 'em on. One of my first boyfriends use to pick me wild flowers. He purposely went out early spring and looked for the first wild flowers. That was so sweet and showed he cared enough to take the time to do something special. See, they don't even have to be purchased flowers. Wild flowers, flowers from your own garden, fruit tree blossoms or pussy willows are all good ideas. Oh, lilacs. Mustn't forget lilacs.

:) LOL. Thank you! I don't know, that's just my philosophy. It's probably a little old-fashioned in some people's eyes, but based on your response I can see that it's still appreciated.
