Okay, here's a question for everyone? We ALL get them - telemarketeres. What do you do? What do you say? I'm generally polite and say, "I'm sorry, I'm just the housekeeper, call back this evening." Then I know the number and don't pick up. Someone else said to say "Hold on a minute", then put the phone down and walk away for awhile. When you come back, they are long gone and they just hang up. Someone else said to just repeatedly hit the pound button and it screws up their equipment. I'm not sure I believe that..I'm afraid I'd be transferring the call to Morocco and paying a fortune in long distance.

I normally just say I'm not interested in whatever it is they're selling and hang up. I try to be polite about it, but sometimes it's hard because they won't take no for an answer. If I've had a really bad day I can get kind of rude. I once heard a guy say that he tells them that his wife died recently and needs someone to talk to. Then he talks about anything and everything until they hang up.

I try to screen my calls and avoid telemarketers as much as possible. I hate talking to them because they won't take no for an answer. However, if I do answer the phone, not knowing who it is, I usually end up hanging up on them. I know that's not very nice, but neither is having my dinner interrupted.
