Why is it that most men when they find that a woman has children run for the hills? I, myself, don't have children but I have seen a lot of friends go through this and I'm just curious as to why.

You're definitely right! Some women don't want the extra baggage either. But, I think, for most women it's not that they don't want the extra responsibility but that they don't want children or they're afraid that the children will not want them.

I've met both kinds, those that run for the hills and those that love having a ready made family. Let's not forget those Dads who have the primary responsibility of raising a child or children. There are more than a few of those around, the women being the ones to not want the responsibility. Takes all kinds to make the world go round.

That's a good point, about it taking all kinds to make a world go round. I have one of those women that don't want responsibility in MY family. That's how I ended up raising a grand-child. And for those who would be quick to say I'm enabling... horse pucky. It's all about making sure the child is safe and loved and made to feel they are worth something. Said daughter will get her just rewards in the future.
