I dated this guy one time and his idea of a fun time was watching a video of the "State of the Union" address and going to Books A Million to find the latest John Grisham book. After we went to the bookstore, we went to his room and watched a horrible Ben Affleck movie that mimicked Matt Damon's Bourne movies.

That does sound like a bad date. While I enjoy John Grisham's books, I certainly wouldn't want to go buy one on a date. And I definitely would not want to watch a video of the State of the Union address. I'd be curious to know how long this relationship lasted. I know I definitely wouldn't date someone for long if this was their idea of a great date.

That's definitely not my idea of a good date. I once dated a man who, for Valentine's Day, took me to see a movie. While that would normally be okay, he took me to see a cartoon, which wasn't my idea of a good Valentine's Day movie. To top it off, he invited his best friend along, because he didn't have a date for the evening. Not exactly a romantic evening.
