What a weekend of surprises, some "good" and then some "very bad". I am just getting over the shock of the "Martin/Zimmerman" not guilty verdict, to now hearing of GLEE star "CORY MONTEITH" shocking death on Saturday. Cory was with his first mentor "MAUREEN WEBB" (co-founder of Project Limelight Society) in Vancouver along with his manager "ELENA KIRSCHNER" at The East of Main restaurant having a nice time on that Thursday Night. Maureen said that Cory looked much better than he has been in a long time. He was even excited about getting involved in Project Limelight that's a non-profit arts program for children since its launch over 2 years ago. But on Saturday Cory was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver with no reason why but Police said there was no foul play. As for his "Glee" co-star and real-life girlfriend "LEA MICHELE" she is just completely beside herself and devastated and asks for privacy during this sad time. Cory has really suffered from substance abuse for 18 years and even admitted himself to rehab once at 19 years old and then again just 3 months ago. Cory Monteith gone way too soon at 31 years young, we'll miss you Cory!!!
Saturday was (2) weddings, first JIMMY KIMMEL married his girlfriend comedy writer "MOLLY MCNEARNEY" in Ojai, California and he had quite a guestlist of "BIG" name celebrities like MATT DAMON, BEN AFFLECK, HOWARD STERN, JOHN KRASINSKI, and EMILY BLUNT.
HALLE BERRY married her boyfriend/fiance OLIVIER MARTINEZ (technically twice). They first got married in a civil ceremony earlier in the day and then said "I do" (again) in front of 60 guests at Chateau des Conde in Vallery, France for a religious ceremony. The day finished off with dinner, dancing, and some fireworks and they partied all night long. Halle is also pregnant with Olivier's baby.
Well its now official "THE VIEW" will celebrate season 17 on September 9th and now since ELISABETH HASSELBACK has left and soon JOY BEHAR will be leaving "VIEW" it will now be "BARBARA WALTERS", SHERRI SHEPHERD", "WHOOPI GOLDBERG", and now joining the cast of the panel: "JENNY MCCARTHY". It was mentioned by Barbara on yesterday's show and she said Jenny brings intelligence as well as warmth and humor, as for Barbara she will be leaving "The View" and retiring from television next summer.
"FERGIE DUHAMEL", Fergie ("BLACK EYED PEAS") is taking her husband "JOSH" last name and probably at the time they are about to have their first child in late August/early September, she changed her name legally to "FERGIE DUHAMEL" on July 10th, at an L.A. courthouse.
Yesterday CHRIS BROWN got his probation revoked due to a hit-and-run incident in May when he hit a woman's vehicle and then never gave her the correct insurance information. He didn't have a valid license at the time but his lawyer disputed he has a current license in Virginia (his hometown). He has to appear in court next month and he may face 4 years in jail
