That's nice to hear Sublime, I've met more of the other kind though, I have to tell you. My uncle cooked, but he was a chef in the Navy, so not sure if that counts. He didn't do most of the cooking at home, not after cooking all day at work.
The friend I mentioned in another post, though, lost thirty pounds after his wife died. He lives on toast and peanut butter unless he orders out. He couldn't afford the thirty pounds, he was never a big man to begin with.
Hmmm, maybe I should invite him over for dinner.

Who cooks dinner at our house depends on what we are having. If we are grilling or eating any kind of seafood, my husband does the cooking. Otherwise, I do the cooking. It basically works out that we share the cooking responsibilties, which is great. The only problem I have with his cooking is that he makes the biggest messes, and never cleans them up.

The arrangement that I had with one live-in was, if he cooked, I cleaned up and vice versa. That worked really nice, and we putzed about the kitchen together. I heard one wise person say one time that that is where foreplay starts, the kitchen and not the bedroom. So right.

Soulmateless, I have heard many couples that have that arrangement, and it seems to work well for them. I thought about suggesting that for our house, but I would definitely get the short end of the stick. When I cook, I clean as I go. When my hubby cooks, he dirties every pot and pan, and leaves them sitting until things are dried on.

I know another couple that the man always does the dishes, so his wife's hands will stay soft. He says he doesn't like rough hands giving him a backrub, so he will do the dishes. I thought that was kind of interesting.

I'd say there's a man with his priorities in the right place. A wife with soft hands. Good on him, and she's a lucky woman. I'd be happy if I never saw another dish, but I'm really into this eco-friendly thing going on, so can't justify foam or paper.
