One of your best strategies is to actually listen to the woman. Trying to slip under her radar will not work if you plan to have a second date!

I think it is better to go into a date just being open to the person opposite you and listening versus having so many strategies. GUys that have it all worked out or try to use an old routine are so obvious and unattractive.

I agree, the best strategy is to be a good listener from both parties on a first date. Be as honest as you can without embarrassment and be on your best manners. I also think a guy should always open the door for a lady on the first date. This shows that he is a gentleman. A lady will always tell a gentleman whether or not she wants him to open the door for her. In today's society women tend to be a little more independent and don't like that. But, I'm old-fashioned. I like it when a gentleman opens the door for me.

Hmm. I'm not so sure a "strategy" is the best way to approach things. Simply being engaged, polite and communicative always seems to work best. Most women will easily sniff out a strategy, and once that happens you're pretty much finished.
