I think this may be true, at least to some extent. I think many people are not content, but are always chasing after something else. A better job, more money, a better woman/man. In the race to keep up with the Joneses, I think many people lose focus on what is truly important in life. And society has, in part, taught us that we need to have what someone else has in order to be happy.
