Congrats, that's aweseome! It sounds like he has a great sense of humor, and maybe he's just joking around whenever he mentions sex. Even if he really thought he might get lucky, at least this way there are no expectations. And you can enjoy the evening more because you know he's aware that you didn't invite him over for sex.
